Thursday: A short wave impulse and an associated developing low ahead of a westerly approaching cold front, is forecast to move into the area from South eastern-penn and move across southern NJ into LI overnight Thursday into Friday resulting in showers and potentially heavy thunderstorms. There is slight chance one or two storms might be severe, but the primary threat will be heavy rain along with the possibility of flooding.
