Granted it wasn’t the hottest or most intense heat wave we’ve experienced around here, it was still hot enough to keep the AC’s humming on high and hot enough to keep people flocking to the pools. Today marks the end of the heat-wave due to lots of clouds and showers. The high temperature in Maywood only hit 80 this afternoon…far more tolerable than the lower and mid 90’s we’ve had over the past several days.
Tonight – Monday: Short-wave trough and developing low-pressure coming out of the great lakes and heading toward our area tonight and tomorrow.
Tonight. Cloudy and humid early. An area of rain with imbedded heavy showers (perhaps a rumble or two of thunder) over eastern and south-eastern PA will be moving into our area within the next 2 hours (~11pm). Rain will begin as showers with varying intensities and become heavier later with some heavy downpours overnight along with the possibility of lightning, thunder. Local street and small stream flooding likely during times of heavy rain. Some fog will develop later as well. Low temperature around 67.
Tomorrow, Rain in the morning moving away, but remaining mostly cloudy with a change of showers and even a thunderstorm throughout the day. It will be cooler with a high of 78. Winds from the ENE 10-15 MPH.
