Some weakening of the line may occur as they near, but expect strong winds, heavy rain, dangerous lightning and even small hail. Damage to tree limbs and power-lines are possible with some of the higher gusts.
Winds can approach and gust to 55-60 Mph along with the possibility of small hail.
Tonight: Partly cloudy warm and humid. A line strong to severe thunderstorms moving in from the west and NW along an approaching fairly strong cold front will affect our area late. The storms will likely be at their heaviest over portions of central Update NY and PA and in all likelihood begin weakening as they make their move down the mountains and hills toward our area. None-the-less some strong storms are possible can could reach our area around 10 PM and be capable of producing gusty winds, small hail and heavy rain. However, it appears the line will become fragmented so not all areas will experience the heaviest. After the passage of the front overnight, the winds will veer to the NW, temperature will fall into the lower 70’s, and the humidity will be noticeably less.
Wednesday will be sunny with lessening humidity as the afternoon progresses. Light NW winds 5-10 MPH and very pleasant. High Temperature near 83.
Wednesday night: Clear with calm winds, temperature dropping to 62 in the Maywood area, but just to the North and West temperatures falling into the mid and upper 50’s
